The Titleist AVX<\/strong> It has a construction of three layers<\/strong>. These layers are designed to offer that balance between distance, penetrating flight and soft feel that characterizes it. Here I explain a little more about each of them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Core<\/strong>: The core is highly compressed, which gives it the ability to generate a lot of speed off the tee. This is where much of the power is generated to make the ball fly far.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Intermediate layer (Mantle Layer)<\/strong>: This layer helps transfer the energy of the shot efficiently from the core to the outer cover, controlling spin on longer shots so the ball doesn't spin too much and you can maintain that low flight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Outer cover (Cover)<\/strong>: The cover is made of cast urethane<\/strong>, which gives it that soft feel and good control around the green. This is the part that allows you to generate some spin on short shots, without losing the soft feel on putts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Sensation and Touch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    If you like balls that feel soft when you hit them, the AVX is a delight. When you hit it with your irons or putter, you get that cushioned feel, almost like you're compressing the ball more than you expect. Plus, the ball has very little spin on long shots, so it shoots out like an arrow and rolls a good distance once it hits the ground.     Although the AVX is a low spin ball on long shots, it still has enough grip on shots around the green.
