I'm not a PGA member, a sportswriter, a single-digit handicap player, or anything like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I'm a computer scientist who plays golf. Period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You know, that thing about every now and then you send the ball into orbit for a while<\/strong> (not to say anything else) with Elon Musk's satellites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I have a secret<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love playing golf. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a blast. If I had time, I would play 36 holes a day<\/strong>I was lucky enough to attend several tournaments as a volunteer and as a spectator, both nationally and internationally, where I learned a lot and enjoyed myself a lot. I have special memories of the 2018 Ryder Cup in Paris and the Solheim Cup in Scotland (Gleneagles). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Golf is needed<\/strong>. When you like something, you try to indulge in it. If it's part of who you are, you identify what's good about it for you and you incorporate it. Obviously there's a barrier to entry, but It is not economical<\/strong>, although many will tell you yes and fall into prejudice and stereotype.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's a mental barrier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same mental barrier that Seve destroyed by hitting balls against a net inside a stable to train, using his only 4 iron as equipment, or practicing on the sand at the beach, or jumping over the fence of the Pedre\u00f1a golf course on nights when the moon was full enough to illuminate the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started Neither too early nor too late<\/strong> and in a difficult stage, that difficulty that life shares with Golf. In a baptism organized by a friend, like a rope that is thrown to you when you are somewhat shipwrecked. That is, The game<\/strong>, not just a sport. The Game<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do not intend to indoctrinate<\/strong>If you want a golf bible, the 5 lessons from good old Ben Hogan. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not going to give you \u201c5 quick steps\/tricks\u201d to play twice as well in 10 minutes, if that\u2019s what you\u2019re looking for I suggest you stop reading this, grab your bag of clubs and get your ass in the direction of your nearest facility and pro. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I intend to start this as a golf ball buyer's guide. Let's build a community around that and go as far as we want together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
